Why do not NASCAR Sprint Cars designed for racing in the rain as the Indy cars?
It would be interesting to see the Sprint Race Cars NASCAR in the rainy season. Why is not designed to run in the rain?
The simple reason that explains why there is a rain race on ovals are paved wets themselves. They are made of a compound are very smooth and grooved for better adhesion. The grooves do not allow the tire to dissipate heat, like a tidal race. This, combined with the soft compound and the forces of extreme running on an oval, facilitating the use of rain tires impractical. The no tires after 2-3 laps.
